It's Been Awhile!

This past few days....ok, two weeks, have been especially busy. Ever since the kids have gotten out of school it's been one thing after another! Tyler and Kylie did a sport's camp for two hours a day/four days a week/for two weeks. It helped introduce all the kids to different sports and how to play each game/have good sportsmanship. Tyler loved dodge ball and now wants to do a separate camp just for that. Kylie loved hockey, which was a surprise. I think it was a good transition into summer since they still had to get up and dressed but then they had the rest of the day to play! Tyler and Kylie have also been doing a movie every Monday with some friends. They play different kid movies all summer for only $5. Kenadie and Easton haven't been doing too much other than just playing. I made up a chore chart and they have a list of things they need to do everyday. If they do them then they make it on our sheet. At the end of the month they get an allowance (they have to pay tithing on) to spend on whatever. So far it has helped keep the mess in the house controlled somewhat. They have always had chores but when school's in I don't require as much. I knew I needed something that was more strict for summer! Kylie started Tee ball and has two games so far. She loves it and has been working on her hitting and catching. Tyler started Coaches Pitch with Eric as his coach. This has been both a good and bad thing. Eric likes to be with the kids but Tyler takes it as a opportunity to goof around more. Tyler just likes to be active no matter what it is. Yesterday he said to Eric, "I wish school wasn't out." He's a little bit like someone in the family.........
The other day Tyler told Eric he wanted a Mohawk. After we took this pic Tyler decided to just get it buzzed. I think he was a little embarrassed.

Sunday's are pretty low-key at our house. Since Eric is working and we have church at 11:15 we just hang out/get ready. This morning my kids all decided to make "Lego guns" and go around shooting.

I just wanted to let Eric know how much we appreciate him on Father's Day. He is the ultimate dad. He loves to play with his kids, he likes to teach them, he is funny, he is easy going, he's a hard worker, he is a good helper, he is a good example...most of the time. He does let some curse words slip, like everyday, but he always feels bad when our kids repeat them:) I love him so much, especially since I haven't been feeling good lately. He helps keep on top of things and is my best friend. Happy Father's Day!
