Randoms

This past week has gone by fast, like this whole summer, so I will update on a few random things:
*There has been lots and lots of awesome clearance sales-my favorite! I found really cheap things at Jcpenney, thanks to Crystal. I bought lots of summer clothes for the girlie's next year, some baby gifts, and finished Kylie's school shopping. I spent Apr $170 but saved over $1100! I love it!
*We had a nice neighborhood BBQ with copycat Costa Vida food, thanks to Stacey and Sandy. We had a chance to visit and the kids loved staying up late.
*Tyler got registered for football and fitted for his pants, helmet, and shoulder pads. I never knew football was such a big deal. We were there for almost two hours and it appears to be pretty competitive. Tyler will have practice EVERYDAY for an 1 1/2 hours plus games on Saturday! He has been walking around the house in his shoulder pads and pretending to tackle people. Silly boys.
*We decided to be crazy and take all of our kids to the new Indiana Jones movie. Well, needless to say we didn't stay to the end. Easton was a little crazy but not bad. The girls were a different story. They keep having to go out to pee, standing up, moving around, being loud, etc. We left with about 30-45 minutes left. Poor Tyler was crying because he didn't want to leave so we felt really bad. He was so good during the movie but the other's are just too young. So, Tyler and I went to Incredible Hulk late movie last night. It was OK but Tyler really liked it.
*Eric and I got called as primary teacher's in CTR 6. We teach Tyler's class which has 7 boys and 3 girls. Those boys are crazy! We were done with our lesson with 30 minutes to spare so we played hangman. Hopefully, we will find more things to fill up the time.
*And last but not least, we booked our DisneyWorld vacation! I am sooooo excited and have been doing a lot of research on the subject. I think Eric was going to kill me for spending so much time on the computer yesterday. We aren't going until the end of January but we wanted to book plane tickets before they go up anymore. We will be staying in a 3 bedroom townhouse with a pool, slide, and lazy river. It has a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. We are hoping to make meals and save money that way. We will do Apr a week between all of the parks, then go to Eric's dad's which is 1 1/2 hours away. We hope to go to the beach and spend time with his family. We still have a lot more planning to do but I highly recommend a website named mousesavers that tells lots of ways to save money and find deals. Eric told me I should be a travel agent since I love to research and get a high off of vacations. Maybe in the next life!

Salt Lake City

Grandma Pat met us in SLC on thursday night so we could spend some time together. Pat can get really good deals on hotel rooms because of her room so it worked out well. We went to the zoo Friday, to spaghetti factory, and up to park city. I found some really good deals especially at the Children's Place. We then went back to the hotel and swam. Pat and I went to the "Red Iguana" and then Eric took Tyler to "Hellboy 2." They loved it! Grandma Pat had the kids do watercolors this morning while Eric and I went to breakfast. We had a fun, but exhausting weekend.

Happy Birthday BF

Happy 26th Birthday Crystal! You are such an awesome friend! We always have such a good time together, especially when it's just us girls. I admire how funny you are, you are so much more spontaneous than me, you are an awesome decorater, good cook, you love to camp with three small kids, and you are thoughtful. I love that we have the same sense of humor even if it is perverted:) We enjoy many of the same things especially scrapbooking. We call each other once a week, at least, just to catch up. I know if I am having a hard day I can always call you and you understand me. We have known each other since babies and we can always say how we are feeling to each other, even if it's not always positive. Happy birthday girlfriend!

Don't kill me for posting these pics! My whole childhood is full of awesome memories of us playing constantly and just being wild kids. Some of my favorite memories are: walking to the gas station everyday in the summer to get a pop, camping at snake river for a whole week every year, lots and lots of sleepovers, sneaking ramen noodles out of your mom's food storage and eating them raw(gross!), going fishing with our dad's and swimming in Hyrum Dam, swimming across Lamont lake, wearing underwear on our head's to be funny, etc, etc. I love ya!

Happy Birthday to.......Me.

Well, it's official. I'm old. I celebrated my 29th b-day and I realized, only one more year til I'm thirty. I can't believe how fast my 20's have gone by but it's been filled with work, having babies, and raising kids. I actually look forward to the next 10 years raising our kids, watching their personalities develop, living in an awesome neighborhood, and hopefully financially more secure. I had to work until one on my b-day and then I went to lunch with my mom. It's always nice to go out with her and talk. I had a REALLY busy work week and it helped me relax for the weekend. Eric got me a nice card, cake, and money for clothes which I hope to spend this coming week. We went to the sidewalk sale on main street and just wandered around. After the kids went to bed Eric went and got Ruby Tuesday's and we actually ate in peace! Imagine that. I had lots of people wish me happy birthday and call so it was overall a awesome day. I'm so lucky to have such awesome co-workers, friends, and family.

The kids all made me cards and were so proud that they picked out my cake. Kenadie kept telling me, "You're the birthday girl mom."

I love summer!

I love July, in fact, I think it is my favorite month of the year. July fourth is one of my favorite holidays. I love the warm weather, long days, no homework, lots of fun things to do, etc, etc. One thing that I am thankful for is that baseball/tee ball is over! Yeah! I actually really did enjoy watching Tyler but tee ball is a joke. Half of the kids are laying on the ground or looking off into space and I'm sad to say that my daughter was one of them! Tyler is sad it's over but is excited for football.

Kylie was playing catcher and I told her to look at me. She is such a diva!

Here is a random picture of my girls holding our cat Eddie like a baby. So cute.

Tyler enjoyed every minute of playing and already wants to do it again.

Summer

We had a fun fourth of July this year. The usual lunch at my Grandma's and then they set up two slip n slide's. Of course the kids loved it. We have had a busy week with my sister up from Oregon this past week. We each have four kids and they are the same ages so they love to play. We did many things together and now they are exhausted! We had a cookout up the canyon, shopping, girl's lunch, everyone over at our house for playing at the park and lunch, slip n sliding at Grandma's, seeing all of my cousins, cruise in, eating lots of hot dogs, and just being together as a family. I am happy that we only have one more game of tee ball and coaches pitch. It has been fun to see Tyler really "get" the sport and to see that Kylie probably could care less about being in the field but she sure does love to hit. Tyler is already talking about doing football and the other day he asked me if there was a class about bike racing-"I think I would be really good at that mom." He is such an active kid and wants to do everything. Everyone have a good week!
