Pics of my hubby!

Husband Tag

What's his name? Eric George Haskell-I especially love the George

How long have we been together? Married 10 years but together 13

How old is he? 28-we're only a month and a half apart

Who eat's more? He eats more at mealtime but I love snacks

Who said I love you first? He did over the phone after we had only dated two months

Who is taller? Him by five inches

Who is smarter? I would say that he definitely is-he can remember everything even from when he was little. I did better in school though

Who does the laundry? I do but I hate to put it away. I don't know why, I can wash it, fold it but I just hate putting it away.

Who does the dishes? We work opposite shifts so when he's off he usually will, and I do when he's working. I would have to say I do it more than he does

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Eric

Who pays the bills? I do-every once in awhile he pretends to care but I am very anal in that way. I have to have my checkbook balanced and I write a schedule of when bills are due, budget, etc. He is really good about asking me before he buys something though

Who cooks dinner? Eric usually makes lunch since I work during the day, I make dinner and we go out a couple times a week

Who drives when we're together? This is a funny one because we both hate to drive! Since I drive a lot for work(usually 80-100 miles/day) I am so sick of it when I get home. Eric drive's crazy and we would always end up fighting so I usually drive when we go as a family.

Who is more stubborn? In the beginning I would say me but as time goes on I think Eric is

Who kissed who first? He kissed me at a park across the street-we were barely sixteen

Who asked who out first? I asked him to a D.I. dance but them he got grounded for stealing the family car, he then asked me out a few months later to a demo derby

Who proposed? He did at the same park. He blindfolded me and drove around forever. Then he took me to the park and got down on one knee

Who has more siblings? me by one

Who wear's the pants? This is a very interesting question. Some people would say him, some say me. I think we both do at different times but Eric always says, "If mama ain't happy, then nobody is"

I tag Crystal and Michelle.

misc

I am so excited! My BFF Crystal and her husband Chase, her sister Mandy and her husband Lance, and us are going on a cruise in April. We wanted to do a vacation together so we are just going on a three day cruise from Los Angeles down to Ensenada and back up. It was a pretty good deal so her sister decided to come also. The more the merrier I say!

Eric also found out that he will be moving to a new shift within the next couple of months. He will still work evenings but Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday. This is nice so we can do things on Friday and Saturday night and he can go to early church on Sunday. This will work out great when I go to Scrapaway so I won't need a sitter.

I finally got my pedestals for my washer and dryer. They only add 10 inches but what a difference! It helps save my back.

Oh my dear Kylie. She has always been a very touchy child. As a baby she was the only one who I would stay up until 2 or 3am holding, rocking her. She is only four and already I've had to talk with her about not kissing boys. Tyler's friend Brackton came over to play and when I went downstairs this is what I saw. She had a blanket over both of them and her hand on his leg. Thank goodness he was clueless.

I usually love it when my kids become more independant. But, as mother's know, sometimes this create's more mess. Kenadie came downstairs and proudly told me that she got herself carrots and dip. This is what I found when I went upstairs.

What a funny boy. He loves his boots and especially his bottle. I know I need to get him off of it soon-he'll be two in April! His thing lately is to say "show" and he wants to watch Scooby or Nightmare before Christmas.

It's a sickness!

Anyone who knows me know's that I love a good bargain. In fact, I never buy anything unless it's on sale. Well, thank's to Crystal, I went to Old Navy yesterday to an awesome sale. It usually only happen's once or twice a year and everything is 50% off of the lowest clearance price. So shirts are usually $2.50, pants $5.00, sweater's $4.00, etc. I kind of went a little crazy as you can see and got over 100 items. (hey, I have four kids to buy for) That's right, I have nine bags of clothes. In case anyone wondered, Eric wasn't mad but he always tell's me, "Katie, just because it's on sale doesn't mean you have to buy it." But, he never complain's when I don't have to buy clothes next winter.

The girls and Easton helped me seperate all the clothes in piles. I put the clothes that are for next winter in our guest room closet and periodically I go through them and put them in each child's closet. The girl's were so excited and loved all of their new clothes.

I got three nice winter coats for under $30! You can't beat that!

misc

Santa brought the kids these cute tents with sleeping bags. As you can see, we had to set them all up and Kylie and Tyler even slept in them.

This week had just been ordinary. It has snowed quite a bit this week and we all try to go outside so the kids don't have cabin fever so bad. I'm such a summer person! I can't wait until it's warm again.

I have to laugh at these pictures. Kylie is such a groomer. Everyday she grooms someone, usually Eric or I. She loves to comb my hair and will even "check" my ears. She loves to shave Eric and gets a brush and water. Eric tolerates this and I had to capture it on camera. Someday soon, she'll grow up and not have time to groom us!

Christmas gifts

Thank goodness I am feeling much better. I hope our house if finally done with it and I can go a week without cleaning up throw up!(even though I'm a nurse I don't do throw up well) I am always glad when Christmas is over. I think I get too stressed out and am ready to have my house back to normal. This Christmas was good despite all of the sickness. My kids are at such a fun age and all believe in Santa. I realize I may only have a year or two more of this so we are enjoying it. Tyler is really starting to ask questions and notice things. One of his gift's in his stocking had a price tag on it and he wondered why Santa would go to a store to buy a gift. Eric just told him that he can't make every toy and Tyler seemed fine with that. But, I wonder how long we can keep it up!

I decided it was time to give the girls a haircut! They were so excited. Kenadie's hair is really short but totally fits her personality. She is not a fluff girl and likes an easy hairdo and I like that it long enough that I can still put it up in front. I put some before and after pics of each girl so you can see the difference.

I especially love Kylie's new do. I love not having her whine as much when I comb her hair everyday!

Kenadie's favorite gift by far is the shopping cart that my parent's gave her. I requested an extra sturdy one since we've already gone through two. I love this one! It is a little tikes one and should last until Easton is big. I highly recommend it and it's affordable. Kenny loves the baby seat in front and packs a lot of stuff in the basket. Just this morning she had one baby in front and two in the basket. I asked her if she's just like her mom with three kids in the cart and she said "yes". What a good mom she will be someday. Kenadie got a new baby, church dress, princess puzzles, Dora memory game, artist lap table, Princess tent and sleeping bag, etc.

I don't have a pic of Tyler's favorite gift because he likes them all. He got a crystal growing kit from Santa and that experiment is in the works. My parent's gave him a rock tumbler since he loves to collect different looking rocks. He also got roller skate shoes, books, videogame, spiderman shirt and movie, and some money. He also went with my dad and uncle Larry to his first Jazz game the day after Christmas. Eric had planned the day off but they said he had work due to it's the busy season. Tyler had a blast though and told me how the bear did backflips, the huge tv screen, eating pizza and ice cream, etc, etc, etc.

All of the kids love the retro kitchen that Santa brought. I do too! It is so cute and sturdy. It took Santa's helper four hours to put together (and he is mechanically inclined). My parents got a bunch of food that is made out of wood so it can endure a lot of wear and tear. I am always being served food now and Kylie especially likes her Belle tea set that she got. Kylie got a new barbie, barbie beetle car, church dress, dress up shoes, barbie artist lap table, princess guitar, etc.

One of the gifts that my mom and dad gave Easton was this super cute John Deere lawn mower. It makes all sorts of noises and it has little pieces of grass that roll around in the back. Easton loves it and the other kids do too. Some of the things that Easton got was a "cars" double racetrack, puzzle, kichen dishes, Jack in the box, backpack, and some money.
